Video: Krakatoa eruption in 2009


A year and a half later I returned to Krakatau with the geonauts Thorsten Böckel and Martin Rietze. Strong strombolian eruptions hurled volcanic bombs far beyond the crater area. Isolated lava bombs even landed in the sea.
